About Trademarks

A trademark is a word, phrase, symbol, and/or design that identifies and distinguishes the source of the goods of one party from those of others.

Any party that uses a registered trademark can be sued.

We have demanded copycat vendors and resellers to cease and desist use of registered trademarks for several reasons:

  1. This use violates registered trademarks
  2. Use of these trademarks with copycat products convey that LiveO2 is equivalent to demonstrably inferior products
  3. Any commercial interest that reproduces the trademark is also subject to damages.

A Registered trademark is filed with the US Patent and Trademark office.  Registered trademarks can only be used under license by the trademark registrant.

Legal Notifications:

An unregistered trademark is the property of the owner but the laws regarding damages are less strict.  The only requirement for a an unregistered trademark is that the it is claimed.
